2011 MRRT Annual Field Trip:
Springfield & New Salem, IL
The MRRT's 2011 Fall Field Trip was to Springfield, Illinois the weekend of Saturday/Sunday, October 22-23. In contrast to our every other year visit to an Eastern or Western battlefield, for 2011 the MRRT visited Springfield and become immersed in all things Abraham Lincoln. Our tour guide was Justin Blanford, Director of the Old Court House/Law Office. The trip itinerary included visits to:

- Old State Capitol
- Lincoln-Herndon Law Offices
- Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Museum
- Oak Ridge Cemetery
- New Salem
- Illinois State Military Museum
