2012 MRRT Annual Field Trip:
First and Second Bull Run (Manassas)
The MRRT toured the battlefields of First and Second Bull Run October 27–28, 2012.
Scott Patchan, our tour guide, provided MRRT members with an informative and memorable tour of these two battlefields. Scott is a well known and respected guide as well as the author of numerous Civil War books and articles to include: Second Manassas: Longstreet's Attack and the Struggle for Chinn Ridge; The Last Battle of Winchester: Phil Sheridan, Jubal Early, and the Shenandoah Valley Campaign, August 7–September 19, 1864; Shenandoah Summer:; The 1864 Valley Campaign The Battle of Piedmont and Hunter*#039;s Campaign for Staunton: The 1864 Shenandoah Campaign; and The Forgotten Fury: The Battle of Piedmont, Virginia.
