Nichols School House

Famous among the one-room schools in Farmington was District No. 2, referred to by its alumni as the Nichols School, so named because the Nichols family originally owned the land upon which it sat. The Nichols school operated into the early 1940s. COnsolidation of the Township and City schools in 1944 negated a number of one-roomers. The parcel of land on which the school once stood is a lot about 1500 feet north of the 13 Mile and Farmington Road interstection.
